Unusual gig

Picture us in overalls instead of soul pajamas :). On Sept 27 we will be performing at the Olney Farmers and Artists Market in Olney, MD. We got this gig because one of the founders works for Channel 9 News NOW and arranged for me to be interviewed about Community Supported Agriculture.

One of our life missions is to support local living and especially local food – the Locavore movement. We have run the Sandy Spring CSA for seven years, which provides several hundred people with weekly produce. You can find one in your area at Local Harvest. Eating locally is re-emerging the best way to protect your own health and the environment.

Why not start a CSA within your church? A church would be an excellent pick up location. Besides your own congregants who might participate, you can promote it in the neighborhood around your church or the general area – attracting new people to your church. You could also donate a share to a needy family in your congregation or in the neighborhood. Contact us if you want to explore the idea further.
